Bowing to Venus

Willow's second album, Bowing to Venus, released winter 2005/6, features 11 original compositions written in collaboration with her band. Tantric philosophy meets avantgarde music.

This song cycle draws on the diverse influences of pop/alternative rock, bluesy jazz, soul, and world music. It is, by nature, a spiritual inquiry born of the transmutation of desire. Featuring musical collaboration with Todd Ayers (electric guitar, production), Anthony Salvo (saxophones, violin), Trent Hines (piano, keyboard), and Greg Wilkins (drum kit, percussion).

As a whole, the project is inspired by the veneration of the sacred feminine, resting within and illuminated by the view of dharmic wisdom.
